You’re Invited! Julie Mollo Brings Her Cool Girl Clutches to STORY

Julie Mollo joins us this Saturday (11am-5pm) with an assortment of styles from her Brooklyn studio, plus she’ll be customizing clutches for everyone on your gift list. As the brains behind Katy Perry’s iconic fruit ensembles (and a #PitchNight alum,) Julie knows a thing or two about making a statement. Between designing her retro-inspired bags and styling clients, Julie takes time to enjoy the best of New York (spoiler alert: she knows where to find all the best snacks). Take a peek into Julie’s sparkly world and get in the spirit.

What’s your brand STORY in six words or less?

Super Fun & Sparkly Clutches!

What makes your products a great gift? And who would you suggest it for?

Because I offer so many different styles, as well as customization, if you don’t see an image that reminds you of someone, you can customize it to be perfect for ANYONE on your list that likes to sparkle! 🙂

What’s your favorite way to spend a weekend in New York?

My favorite weekends involve eating at a food court like Smorgasburg or Dekalb Market Hall with friends, taking a great themed Monster Cycle class, and watching a movie at Alamo Drafthouse in the reclined front row!

What’s the last thing that inspired you?

Seeing photos of the costumes that Gwen Stefani is wearing in her Las Vegas residency! See you in March, Gwen! Those costumes are incredible. Swarovski Doc Martens?! Come on.

What’s on your wish list this year?

Plane tickets! My 2019 goal is to travel (for work & leisure!) as much as possible! Getting out of NYC is a very key part to living here!

Where’s your favorite spot to get your snack on in NYC?

Ample Hills ice cream in Brooklyn! ‘The Munchies’ is my favorite flavor!

What’s your favorite way to warm up when it’s cold in the city?

love walking around Soho and dipping in and out of well designed (heated) stores, and checking out holiday markets with a coffee in hand!

What local creative should we know about and follow on Instagram?
