The Founders of Aura Frames Share How They Make Memories Last Longer than an Insta

Who’s behind Aura Frames, aka the brainiest picture frames out there? That would be Abdur Chowdhury and Eric Jensen. These longtime collaborators and technology wizards tell us what inspired them to create a better digital picture frame and what make their latest design extra special (and a must to put on your gift list).

In 15 words or less, what makes your brand a great gift? You can keep your family close by instantly sharing precious memories from phone to frame, anywhere.

What’s one product are you featuring in STORY that our community should look for + what makes it special? We’re so excited to show off our new modern frames that come in two colors: Stardust and Slate. Stardust and Slate are the latest evolution of Aura’s design language, featuring crisp, simple geometry with 360-degree appeal and improved gesture accuracy.

Last person who inspired you on Instagram? @charitywater, @natgeo, @the_life_of_aivax

What is a fun fact we can’t find out about you on the internet? Aura’s two cofounders, Abdur Chowdhury and Eric Jensen, have been working together for over 17 years! They originally started building Aura Frames after they both bought digital frames for their mothers and were extremely disappointed with the options.

What are three things about your brand/business you want our community to know? Aura’s mission centers around connecting people and families through a brilliant photo sharing experience. Founded by two early Twitter scientists, technology and innovation are at the forefront of every product decision we make. We’re passionate about giving back, and have partnered with charities in the past like charity:water, donating proceeds of a specially designed frame to support their cause.

What’s the best gift you’ve ever received? We could say an Aura frame and not be lying. 🙂

Where’s your go-to spot in New York for a great holiday cocktail + what do you love about it? We love Bar Belly in between Chinatown and Lower East Side because it is incredibly cozy with a beautiful vintage feel.

Who are you toasting to this holiday season? Health, happiness, and a more connected world.
