The Kiss and Tell: Our passion for the next big thing was put to the test when Mayor Bloomberg and the New York City Economics Development Corporation enlisted us to lead a competition for boundary-pushing retail and tech start-ups.
The Best of Times: Mayor Bloomberg stopped by to do a press conference! Announcing the eleven winners selected for Project Pop-Up NYC, from emerging fashion retailers to fashion technology companies, the mayor helped us celebrate the ingenuity of NYC – and each of the winners received space in our store to showcase their products for the entire month of September.
The Heart Will Go On: Four years old at the time, Outlier was one of the eleven winners of Project Pop-Up, and they’ve only continued to thrive and innovate since! The Brooklyn-based disruptive apparel brand pushes the boundaries of fashion, and weaving function-forward thinking into tech-y threads.
