Re-Loving: Made in America STORY

First Date: July 2013

How We Met: On a cross-country road trip

The Kiss and Tell: We took a road trip to find inspiring examples of American-made craftsmanship and met inspiring entrepreneurs. The result: A stately display of what it truly means to make it here, interpreted by NYC-based artist Georgia Elrod as a map-inspired mural that spanned our store.

The Best of Times:  Exploring Detroit with Ponyride and meeting Detroit Denim Co., before heading South to hang with Prospector Co. and Lodge Cast Iron. Back in NYC, Martha Stewart stopped by and fell for our American-made POV while the girl bosses at BRIKA shared their artisan-made goods.

The Heart Will Go On: To bring back Made in America STORY, we invited local next-generation knitters Thursday Finest to bring their colorful, custom-made, and comfy wearables over from their Brooklyn workshop!

But we didn’t stop there, we also brought in our Detroit-based friends from Shinola to bring some limited-run goods built to last. And American Trench delivered some socks that really let you feel the difference American manufacturing makes!
