NEW YORK: Four Companies that are Making it Here

The cliche is: If you can make it in New York, you can make it anywhere. Some see this saying as a warning warding them off from the bustling pace of one of the most competitive cities on Earth. To others, this is a challenge, one to be met with disruptive innovation and ambitious devotion to an idea. Here’s to those who are making it here. We’re right there with you.

“New York or Nowhere” is the mantra of this design studio. From NYC-centric apparel, to renderings of their favorite city haunts, to the screen-printed poster that hangs in #DisruptSTORY – Knowlita not only makes it here, they make it about here.

Q Designs
Fashion and function seem like they should compliment each other, and Q Designs has created a wearable that blends the two seamlessly. True to their New York roots, Q Designs crafted the Q Bracelet for style-concious users who are always connecting. It’s 50% extra battery life, 100% chic.

Shipped with love from Brooklyn, Tattly temporary tattoos make elevated ink available without commitment. Designed by professional independent artists who receive a portion of every sale, Tattly tattoos embody the creative spirit of their (and our) home city.

HCWD Studio
Based in New York, this design studio is internationally renowned, garnering the 2016 Best Designers/Best Design Studio award from the International Furniture Fair in Singapore and nominated for the German Design Awards 2016. In-store with us now is their Kickstarter-funded Brick Lamp, which reimagines the moment of illumination in a simultaneously intuitive and disruptive way.
