Our New STORY Is…Home for The Holidays!
Come one, come all! Have we got a STORY for you. A spectacle for kids of all ages, a world of untold wonder, a place where we all belong…it’s Home for The Holidays, our “something for everyone” gift shop experience inspired by The Greatest Showman, the new big-screen musical that celebrates the life of P.T. Barnum. The original ringmaster, Barnum saw the circus as a family that welcomed anyone willing to suspend belief—and with that, we invite you to step right up and venture inside our very own Big Top, a circus-themed fantasyland designed by another impresario, David Stark.
There’s more to the holidays than what’s wrapped in a bow, but the joy of discovering that something special—a present that will light up their eyes—is all part of the fun. So what’s in-store? Over 2,000 gifts to cover everyone on your list: him, her, kids, coworkers, even a hairy beast. We share The Greatest Showman’s themes of magic and wonder through an exclusive collection of limited-edition items that boast original artwork by designers Zipeng Zhu and Sunday Afternoon. Their eye-catching patterns take the stage with help from an all-star cast of design partners: Samsung to keep any smartphone charged, Alexis Bittar bracelets to add sparkle to your wrist, Edie Parker acrylic clutches to make a festive statement, Clare V.‘s striped leather pouches to carry your essentials, Sugarfina candies for anyone on your list and Denik journals to jot down your dreams.
But wait, there’s more! We put furnishings from West Elm, modular carpet tiles from FLOR, and hand-screened wallpaper from Flavor Paper under the bright lights of GE’s new new vintage-inspired LED bulbs to illuminate the space and bring our main acts to life. And what would a circus be without a little fire? HearthCabinet Ventless Fireplace returns to perform the ultimate feat: a ventless, indoor fireplace.
Every spectacle needs its magic, and we have it in spades with novelties like Flyte Lyte, a levitating LED lightbulb that curiously floats over its base; Aura digital picture frames, which intelligently sort and sync images from across your devices to automatically—and remotely—refresh the display; an exclusive screen-printed sweatshirt from Knowlita; Rockets of Awesome’s silver bomber for kids, which lights up with the flash of a camera; and last but not least, handmade metallic glass candles from Baobob Collection, inspired by NYC’s iconic house of mirrors—the disco sensation known as Studio 54.
To round out the larger-than-life concept, we’ve invited local food trucks to get in on the action so you can snack while you shop the greatest gift guide on Earth. Each Saturday from Nov. 25th through Dec. 23rd we’ll have local favorites Korilla BBQ, Cinnamon Snail and Snowday on site serving up an a la carte menu compliments of STORY.
It’s a time of year when we all believe in something greater, and we think Barnum had it right. ’Tis the season to come together to make everything merry and bright.
