The Ingredients…New York, New York!

Our beloved city can feel a little stymied in summer thanks to sweltering heat, but in typical NYC fashion we press on (in as few clothes as possible) and make the most of it with rooftop parties, dips in hotel swimming pools and picnics in shaded parks. Because even when it’s crazy hot, New York is always in our hearts. With that in mind, here are some of the coolest Big Apple items in  season at Fresh STORY!

New York City Candle

Burning for up to 80 hours and made from all natural soy wax in the USA, this candle will long remind those who’ve spent time in New York just how sweet it is with a scent channeling Central Park, fine department stores and concrete sidewalks.

New York Tea Towel

Talented artist and bona fide foodie Claudia Pearson—whose large-scale work graces the wall of Fresh STORY—pays homage to New York City and her favorite farmers market finds via illustrated tea towels. The quick-drying kitchen item is sure to become a fast favorite!

“We Are Happy To Serve You” Cup

When designed by Leslie Buck in 1963, the “We Are Happy to Serve You” paper cup became the go-to option for coffee carts across the city. Now as iconic as the Statue of Liberty, the cups have been reproduced in ceramic for years of love and use no matter where you live.

Edible Schoolyard Tea Towels

Hand printed in Brooklyn, Lucky Fish’s 100% floursack teatowels benefit the Chez Panisse Foundation, a non-profit founded by celebrated chef Alice Waters. For each colorful set sold, 10% goes to the kitchen classroom at Martin Luther King Jr, Middle School in Berkeley, CA.

Made In New York Fucking City Cards

Send your message loud and clear with Terrapin Stationers’ engraved cards and matching hand-lined kraft envelopes. Slightly crass but beautifully produced by a generations-strong family-run business, they’re just like New York City itself.
