If You Build It, the Story Behind Our Holiday Home

One of the most asked questions of this STORY: How did you create it? True story: The process probably looks a lot like your own home improvement projects (only a whole lot faster,) beginning with a trip to Home Depot. For this installation, interior designer Jason Bell’s goal was to create an an interior based on a clean rustic version of a rustic retreat in the mountains. From there, Jason and his team used materials sourced from Home Depot to guide his vision and create the retreat-like atmosphere.

Elements like the slate flooring in the men’s area established an outdoorsy vibe, accented by finishes like an outdoor standing heater and leathery picnic tables.

In the entry  printed wallpapers like this wood wall covering added to the warmth and coziness to the design scheme, complementing the wooden truss system.

For the women’s suite, a white soaking tub added a luxurious feel that we played up with a faux fur throw, golden accents, and mirror above the headboard.
