Found at #FWord: Four Design-Driven Essentials for the Modern Family
As parents, we tell our sons and daughters they can grow up to be everything – and more. But you truly show your little one what’s truly possible when you follow your passion, whether as an entrepreneur, maker, or diaper do-er in chief. There’s nothing little about the job called being a mom or dad but these design-driven items help lighten the load (or diaper bag).
Fatherhood comes with plenty of fussiness – so Chris Pegula created the Diaper Dude, a dad-friendly diaper bag that was light on fuss, heavy on function. Part man bag, part must-have for every new dad, the bag feature a sporty shape with plenty of pockets fort the essentials.
Because baby steps, Freshly Picked founder Susan Peterson started making adorable leather baby moccasins for little ones that make every step a little more special. Each pair is durable, well designed, and most importantly: made to stay on your child’s foot.
It takes a village, so #PitchNight alum Jane Van Cleef created Hazel Village, a collection of super-cute stuffed creatures to inspire little imaginations. Handmade of organic cotton, each character comes alive through delightful narratives.
Born out of frustrating feeding sessions, Spuni’s ergonomic design activates babies’ latching reflex, making mealtime a lot less messy. With little one’s mouths in mind, its co-creators engaged experts in material science to choose materials that would offer parents peace of mind.
