Chef Amanda Freitag pops in to sign copies of her new book “The Chef Next Door,” a trove or recipes for those of us who inhabit small spaces but want to use our kitchens more.Oh and did we mention there will be cookies!

WHY: Because from-scratch cooking can be scary. Amanda’s new book breaks down everything from the basics – sauces, stocks, and rubs – to more complicated dishes like a “Lusty Lemon Chicken.”
