Cool Over Ice: The Buzzed Lebowski

In our “What’s Shaken” series, we shake things up and ask mixologists to share a story (ahem cocktail.) As if you needed an excuse to break into the liquor cabinet mid-week…

A menu of meatballs might be what put the Meatball Shop on the map, but we’d like to turn things over to its cocktails. On our shortlist of favorites, The Buzzed Lebowski, an inspired take on the White Russian made extra-buzz-worthy by its use of Grady’s Cold Brew, a New Orleans style iced-coffee concentrate (we’ve got it on tap at STORY.) Because you can’t go wrong with coffee, booze, and creaminess, here’s the recipe we’ve gotten way too good at.

1½ oz. vodka
1 oz. Grady’s Cold Brew
¾ oz. Kahlua
¾ oz. cream
3 espresso beans for garnish

1. Add all ingredients to a mixing glass.
2. Add ice, shake and strain over one large cube in a rocks glass.
3. Garnish with espresso beans.
