Bombas’ 60k Day Changes the Sock Game for Good

Dear Bombas,

You joined our family during Good STORY – a chapter when our passion for community came into focus and we brought together over 40 socially-conscious brands to create social impact. It was no secret that we got off on the right foot with your founders Randy Goldberg and David Heath who set out to create a better breed of athletic socks for good.

After discovering that socks are the #1 most requested clothing item in homeless shelters, you teamed up with community-based non-profit Hannah’s Socks to donate one pair to a homeless shelter for every pair sold. Performance engineered technology, heel-cushioning tabs, and reinforced foot-beds that do good? Your socks don’t just talk a good game. They do good.

For years, we’ve always considered us a perfect pair, but on Tuesday, February 28, your soul-ful mission has kicked our love into next-level territory. The reason? Your 60k Day.

On any given night, there are an estimated 60,000 men, women, and children who are homeless in New York City, and with that in mind, you’ve brought together 60 of New York’s most influential companies (including Gap, Kenneth Cole, Harry’s, Flywheel, Casper, and ShakeShack) to volunteer with and support 60 New York-based shelters and service centers to collectively donate 60,000 pairs of socks in one evening. Paired with other acts of good, this initiative further punctuates your drive to empower others and act charitably within our own community. You’ve moved beyond being a one-for-one brand; You’ve created a sock-driven movement.

We can’t thank you enough for helping the homeless find their footing.
