Bite Into…Junes Bags

After working in a James Beard-nominated kitchen and then as a web coder at a digital agency, June Janean Mann returned home to Texas, where she serendipitously stumbled upon a vintage fabric that would inspire Junes Bags. Still based in El Paso, each stylish shopper is hand-sewn by a women’s cooperative and is as durable as it is fashionable!

To create stylish, reusable bags that combine simple elegance with daily functionality.

Multi-talented chef/coder/designer June Janean Mann globally sources new and vintage textiles that will lend distinctive allure to reusable shopping bags. Once she’s found a fabric that delights her eye, the El Paso, Texas-based entrepreneur takes it to the Centro Santa Catalina women’s sewing cooperative, where each foldable bag is lovingly hand-stitched complete with an interior pocket.

In addition empowering women at the sewing cooperative, Junes donates a portion of proceeds to Global Fund for Women, an organization that protects and prevents femicide and violence against females in neighboring Juárez, Mexico.
