Weekend Guide to Finding Your Center
It’s two weeks into the new year, do you know where you resolution is? Slipping into old habits and forgetting the goals you set before the ball dropped are symptoms of running on automatic, but making a concerted effort to live mindfully can put these pitfalls where they belong – in your past.
We’ve already put together a to-do list to help you savor a simple night in, a centering collection of must-haves to treat your mind and body, and a mindful book list that’s packed cover-to-cover with good-vibes verbiage… but why stop there? The weekend is fast-approaching, and whether you’re a warrior, a wonderer, or a wanderer, there are so many mindful opportunities to experience and explore!
Friday – Find the essence of “Wanderlust” on the High Line
Right across the street from our store (where, if it’s cold, you can pick up some supremely soft White+Warren wearables before your walk) is the iconic High Line, one of our favorite spots to take a moment and just be. Through March of this year, the elevated park features a group exhibition that uses multiple mediums to comment on the urban promenade by exploring themes of motion, journeys, and the implications of everyday walks.
Saturday – Treat your face to CAP Beauty’s Alchemic Facial
A profound and concentrated healing treatment from alchemy master In Fiore, this cleanse uses a Japanese-inspired 4-2-4 devotional method of vibrational therapy, an alpha hydroxy acid peel derived from bilberry, and a nutrient-dense mineral mask to promote circulation, relaxation, detoxification, and revitalization at the cellular level. Transformational care for even your smallest elements? It may feel like magic, but it’s as elemental as making an appointment!
Saturday – A Day of Mindfulness from the New York Public Library
Open to experienced meditators, beginners, and people of all ages, this six-hour program offered for no charge by the New York Public Library emphasizes learning to be present and learning to experience life more richly without ruminating on the past or worrying about the future. With cycled periods for practicing breath meditation, walking meditation, learning to focus on the present through the body, mindfulness of sound, and many other aspects of mindfulness – This is a day at the library that may just help you start a new chapter.
Sunday – Shop Arianna Huffington’s Thrive Global Pop-Up Shop
