HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS 2015

OUR ANNUAL GIFT GUIDE COME TO LIFE…IT’S HERE, HERE!

Over the past four years we’ve told 27 STORYs. Every year we go…Home for the Holidays! Begin here and step inside an editorial-inspired gift guide that unfolds inside a holiday home; each room designed for a different gift recipient: An entry hall for her, a kitchen for everyone, a playground for kids, and a garage for the guys.

LOOK CLOSER AT WHAT’S IN-STORE

There’s more to this STORY than great gifts because this year we’ve joined forces with American Express OPEN to celebrate and support small businesses. This year, you’ll find over 300 small businesses under our roof and meet many more during on the day we all shop small – Small Business Saturday. Closest to our heart (and home): Finds from our Pitch Night including Novel Studios concrete candle, Elevie’s wine maturing badge, DPTR’s minimalist men’s accessories, and Dagne Dover’s coolly compartmentalized handbags.

Discovering new brands and Makers is core to our DNA, and this holiday collaboration with American Express OPEN enables us to engage and include such an outstanding range of talented small business owners – STORY founder, Rachel Shechtman

TURNING OUR STORE INTO A HOLIDAY HOME

This year, with creative direction from designer Jason Bell we’ve transformed our space into four distinct rooms, highlighted by a ventless fireplace from HearthCabinent Ventless Fireplaces, custom built-in fixtures from ALU, and realistic touches from Home Depot like a garage door mounted in the guy’s garage. It’s also impossible not to stop and stare at the bedazzled STORY wall which was created by L.A. based street artist Paige Smith in collaboration with NY painter Georgia Elrod.

START MAKING YOUR TO-DO LIST

Make small plans! Join us at Home for the Holidays all season long for weekend trunk shows with our favorite Makers, DIY events, and of course a full-day fest on Small Business Saturday.  End point: The holidays take us away from the everyday and bring us a little closer to everyone. Because when you #ShopSmall, you shop small for all.
