Say Squeeze With In the Seam's Pillows

Want to really hold on to your memories from NYC? In The Seam maker Ronda Smith gets it and created a collection of handmade pillows that turn her photographs into works of couch art. “Everything (from taxi cabs to Lady Liberty) I look at I want to photograph and make into a pillow,” she says. Since we dig her stuffed stuff, we asked Ronda to share the story behind her pillows and how she keeps her cool in NYC…

WHAT’S THE COOLEST THING ABOUT IN THE SEAM?

All  of  my  pillows  are  made  from  photographs,  and because  I  print  and  sew  everything  in house  the  possibilities  are endless with  what  you  can  make  into  a  pillow.

IN HIGH SCHOOL YOUR PILLOWS WOULD HAVE BEEN AWARDED….

Most artistic.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE WAY TO COOL OFF?

Taking a dip in the ocean or a nearby pool.

WHAT’s THE COOLEST THING YOU’VE DONE RECENTLY?

Made a giant Jenga set for the backyard BBQs!
