Out-of-Office Hours With Working Not Working
Design Your Own Cell Phone Skin!
As we team up with Microsoft Surface to help you tackle your to-dos so there’s more time for your self (expression), we’re eager to put their latest device – the Surface Studio – to the test. To get everything the device has to offer, we’re inviting a rotating cast of creatives from the Working Not Working community to join us on Sundays for “Out-of-Office Hours.” The collective, co-founded by Justin Gignac and Adam Thompkins, is an invite-only community of the Universe’s best creatives who are committed to changing the way companies discover and work with creative talent. A rotating cast of designers from the collective will be in the store to collaborate with guests and help translate their ideas into something bold and new. In our first week, Sunday, November 6, designer Skip Hursh will be helping visitors design custom cell phone skins (one of his pieces is below). And in the following week, November 13, Jon Burgerman, leading figure of the “Doodle” art style, will be joining us.
The Surface is a desktop personal computer that turns into a digital drafting table (!!!) and coupled with Windows 10, it’s bound to make creating, designing, editing, viewing 3D, and exploring Virtual Reality storytelling that much easier. As a device that’s engineered to essentially “disappear” so that creators can be fully immersed in the design experience, it promises to bring out the creator in everyone…Sign us up!
Give a gift to yourself this year while you’re shopping for everyone on your list and join us every Sunday in November, 12-4PM! No RSVP necessary! Just show up.
