Lovewild Design Talks Pitch Night!

SHARE WITH US YOUR PITCH NIGHT EXPERIENCE & ANY STAND OUT MOMENTS.

It was a good opportunity to make me do something out of my comfort zone. I get awful anxiety putting myself out there but it was great practice in pitching. I also met some lovely people!

WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO START LOVEWILD DESIGN?

While I was planning my wedding I noticed a lack of affordable and sustainable weddings favors and embellishments. We dabbled with favors and invitations and slowly transitioned to a product based business. I was racking up school debt while not doing anything quite as fulfilling as I had imagined so starting Lovewild just seemed like a step in the right direction. To not only create a business with a small carbon footprint but also a creative outlet became a necessity. It also doesn’t hurt that I’ve been an entrepreneur since the ripe age of 3.

ANY HIDDEN TALENTS?

I love to cook, bake and build! Luckily Lovewild gives me the opportunity to put those skills to use. We often cook for special in-store workshops and build booths for trade shows.

WHAT’S THE MOST POWERFUL PIECE OF ADVICE YOU’VE RECEIVED?

To work on the business, not in the business. This is something I’ll forever struggle with- delegating day to day and focusing on big picture and growth.

WHAT’S A FUN FACT WE CAN’T LEARN ABOUT YOU FROM GOOGLE?

I pick up languages pretty easily! I speak English, Spanish, Portuguese, French and a tiny bit of Wolof & Twi.
