Donna Karan Talks Living with Soul, Conscious Commerce
“Eclectic, comfortable, grounded in the earth,” is how NYC designer Donna Karan describes her approach to dressing women. But if best known for iconic fashions, time and time again Karan has proven she’s just as concerned with addressing the woman. As she once mused, “We know what we do; now who are we?”
In that spirit, Donna was among the first to use fashion as platform to change how we shop; pioneering the Seventh on Sale to benefit AIDS research and Super Saturday to benefit the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund. Most recently she co-founded the Urban Zen Foundation “to raise awareness and inspire change in the areas of well-being, preserving cultures, and empowering children.”
Tuesday May 27, Donna joins us to share her personal story to living with soul, touching on how design and style can be a tool to bridge cultures and do good. Join us for this intimate discussion of conscious consumerism with one of its visionaries, and gain a deeper understanding of how you can dress to address the world’s greatest challenges.
