Disrupt Imagination: Shantell Martin Book Launch Celebration

Artist Shantell Martin has ‘created her own world that bridges fine art, performance art, technology and the everyday experience — conversations, objects and places’ and has brought that to #DisruptSTORY by creating a unique piece inspired by the themes of USA’s Mr. Robot.

From our interview with Shantell Martin:

What album or song would you consider your personal soundtrack to NYC?
Listened to a lot of Black Coffee DJ sets out here.

What did you Google last?
Bubble Wrap. Hard to get hold of in large amounts.

If you had 24-hours in NYC, where’s the first place you would go?
I pop to see friends’ babies, make sure to get some pizza at Saraghina in Bedstuy, perhaps eat at Dough Donuts, maybe even go check out the Met (I have not been since I’ve been a member), pop by Neuehouse to do some work/hangout, and make sure to have dinner with friends.

When’s the last time you were inspired – by what?
Have you seen Seinabo Sey sing? Wow…. Super inspired but her voice and talent.
