Celebrating Colette

“All good things must come to an end.” And with that, iconic Paris concept store Colette announced that it would close its doors on December 20th. Like so many, we are sad to see the shopping destination go and wanted to do something to celebrate what it meant to all who shopped, discovered, and reveled in its magic. So before the lights go out on Rue Saint-Honoré, we teamed up with co-founder Sarah Andelman to bring a little of Colette ‘Home for the Holidays’ for the very first time outside of the store and at STORY!

When Sarah was asked “Why now? Why STORY?” She shared, “I always loved to visit STORY in NYC, I love the location near the High Line, I love the fact it’s different each time we go, and I love the assortment of fun products. I’m honored Rachel asked us a selection of our last « Colette products », it’s like to send them to our distant cousin in America…They’re all very limited, enjoy!”

STORY and Colette share more than just a common commitment to pushing the retail envelope. Over the years, the two stores have eyed similar brand collaborators, from Instagram art sensation Donald Robertson to Love Me artist Curtis Kulig and designer Tim Goodman. Given their mutual love of using the storefront as a platform for self-expression, it felt natural to invite longtime Colette friend and artist Jeremyville to kick off the debut of the Colette collaboration with a signing of his Jeremyville at Colette book this Thursday, December 7th, 7:00-9:00pm.
